Ingredients (serves 4)

    Sausage Gravy
    • 1 package chicken sausage, casing removed and broken up
    • 2 T butter
    • 1 T coconut oil
    • 4 T coconut flour
    • 1 c. heavy cream
    • 1 c. almond milk
    • fennel
    • red pepper flakes
    • sage
    • marjoram
    • salt and pepper
    Egg Biscuit (makes 1)
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 T coconut flour
    • ⅛ c. almond milk
    • 1 t baking powder
    • salt and pepper


      For the gravy
      • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt together the butter and oil, then whisk in the coconut flour to form a roux.
      • Once the flour is cooked, add the milk, cream and spices, whisking to combine.
      • As the gravy thickens, add in the sausage and cook until heated through.
      • If you gravy doesn't thicken enough you can add more coconut flour.
      For the biscuit
      • Whisk all the ingredients together until well combined.
      • Pour into a greased frying pan over medium heat.
      • As it cooks, push the corners in and build your "biscuit."
      • Flip to cook on both sides.
      • Cover in your delicious gravy to serve.
